It was a good buying opportunity, but given the scope of the new style tetradrachms and the Thompson catalog varieties, I don't think I will ever be able to form anything approaching a comprehensive collection. That would be truly a daunting undertaking.

Nice Cicada @akeady . Looks to be an obverse match to yours! This issue was the first one with controls that was placed on the amphora. There are examples with the Cicada on the Right hand side that are not mentioned in Thompson which I have noted.
