    I am a new member and I would like to ask about my gold sovereign.
    It has a dot between R and I. Is somebody who have seen this? Is it rare?

    Welcome to the forum. I see the dot, it may be a die chip or xomething like that. Nice coin however I do not think the dot will increase the value, I could be wrong. Wait for more answers and go to google and enter gold sovereign errors and see what comes up. I only have a half sovereign but I wouldn't sell it, hopefully never! :D

    There's a pic of my half in one of my albums, the foodstamp album. :eek:

    Oh anyone own one of these Queen coins?

    415 Victoria, young head Sovereign, 1857, dot below T of VICTORIA, rev. shield (Marsh -;
    S.-) an unlisted variety, very fine, extremely rare, possibly unique £1,200-1,500

    This is a similar coin, with deferent date(1857) and the dot below T of VICTORIA
