So just curious...what is everyone's first album? (Not completed album...just album that they started to put time into.)

The first one I started was Lincoln Memorials, so in answer to your question that's what I voted. The first one I completed, however, was Franklin halves. I still remember that day!

I am jealous. I have yet to complete an album. At the rate im going, it seems like it is going to be the 1932-1998 Washington Quarters with Proofs...I can't wait!

Wheat Cents were my first. I remember I would roll search from rolls at banks, and I would buy unsearched rolls on eBay, I never have finished that album, and don't intend to anytime soon. I've lost interest in Wheats completely, collecting has just gone a different route for me. I haven't really worked in that album in well over a year.

From then I went to Morgan Dollars, and I sold the ones I had to work on other things, but I never stopped learning about Morgan Dollars. If there is one series I know most about it is the Morgan Dollar. I worked on Indian Quarter Eagles for a while, have owned two AU's and a beautiful MS62, sold those.

Currently I'm working on a toned Jefferson Nickel War-Time Set, a toned French Sower 50 Centime, 1 Franc, and 2 Franc coins set, I'm still 'working' on Morgan Dollars, but not really to buy, but more to learn more about the series than I already know. I'm also beginning to work on flipping toned dimes on eBay. I also like to think that I'm working on a type set lol

My first album was actually a folder of wheat cents, started in the 1960's and still haven't finished it. First actual album was a Dansco type set, which is almost done, think I need the no motto seated dollar.

Thaank you brother.. I started my franklin album from littleton coin company coins. On aproval program and it was so expensive they charge 19 to 60 dollars a coin.. found my fist coin shop in 92 and got to complete my album in 98 before I graduated from high school..

Wow, that is a tough set. Some of those early Washingtons are pricey! I'm working on that set half-heartedly right now; my focus is on Buffalos (also have a few pricey ones!).

I am cherry picking. I am buying sets of "Silver Washingon Quarters" from Ebay that do not list them. They sell as silver, and I buy as silver. Then i search for the 1932 D or other empty slots, then resell the ones I don't use for a minor loss (about 10%).
