Gotta have deep pockets for this one. http://cgi.ebay.ca/1936-Rainbow-Ton...em&pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item335e6c6dba
I agree.... I found it interesting that that particular one was $1200 and all his others were $5.00 - $57.00 yet they all have the same type of toning. All very unnatural looking. Maybe just fishing for a price point?
Wow, in my lab we'd call that a chemical burn. Definitely artificially toned, if you can even use the word toned for this coin.
You've got to be kidding me. The photos of the obverse of that coin even looked a little juiced. This guy is out of his mind.
i like the whole roll of indians/wheats they sold not too long ago - they look like the 'early experimental pieces'
If it was it would have been more evenly toned or whatever it is called. My opinion is these coins were given to chimps at the zoo with a paint set. Saw something like that on TV only I think it was a gorilla. :goofer:
I just don't understand why people do this and then place such a high price tag on it. Correction, I understand they want to make money but to me the coin is just destroyed.
He says in his listing it is a AT. I think he is asking more because he says something about a cats eye in the toining. I think it is butt ugly. Just my opinion.
