I found a 1946-s lincoln cent in a roll that looked strange. The 19 in the date is very sharp but the 46 is not. Then when I looked at the reverse you could see Lincoln's image through the back of the coin. The reverse is raised in the area of the portrait of Lincoln's. It seems thatthe obverse is pushing through the reverse. I tried to scan this but iI couldn't get it to show up. Can anyone tell me what type of error this is and where can i find out more information about it? Also any idea of value?

It sounds like the coin was struck with clashed dies - that's the reason for the partial Lincoln image on the reverse. As for the weak 46 - might just be due to a clogged die or damage from the clash.

When it comes to value, some collectors really like these but it doesn't really add much premium.
