I bought 44 Silver Washington Quarters ranging form 1932 - 1964 for $125. There were no key coins. Was this a good, bad, or average deal? Thanks :)

considering melt on those today is about $150 you did pretty good.

$2.84 per coin. If you got a lot of different dates, and they tend to be closer to the 59 side of the range vs the 3 side, then it sounds like you did fine.

good deal, if you bought them from a collector they probably did better than selling them to a dealer, and you did better also than if you bought from a dealer, a win win. If you bought them from a dealer enjoy dealing with him while you can, cause I would not see how he could stay in business selling that low, unless he sold them to you for what the smelters would have given him.

Was bought from a person who got them from selling something for $11. Not even a collector.

    hamman88 Spare some change, sir?

I just got a roll of silver proof texas quarters for the same price per coin. Great deal!

  10. Check any 1956-1964 P's for the Type B reverse; they will be worth more than melt for sure regardless of condition. BTW: Very good deal! TC

Very intersting. Is this a Type B Reverse? My eyes are not that good, and my loupe is just as bad. I have trouble telling the difference even between the side by side As and Bs.

I wish I could give you a better image, but I do not have the equipment for it.

  17. Check out the link I sent to you earlier. It will give you clear diagnostics. The dead giveaway is that there is a clear space between the ES in STATES on reverse. Even in the condition you discuss, these Type B's may be worth 4+ times melt value. It would be worth your time to check these out. TC
