    Hey Guys!
A guy I know has some Seated Dollars for sale and I wanted to now what you guys thought on the prices. I have purchased numerous coins from him, so I trust him. I have not seen the coins, but will be able to before I decide to purchase them, if I do. Here are the grades and Prices...

    1860-O F = $210
    1860-O VF = $275
    1872 VG = $180

I have done some research on them, I think they are a bit high...
    What'd you think?
    Thanks,
    SM

I just saw a Steated dollar go for $220 and it was VF and cleaned.

    Leadfoot there is no spoon

If they are solid, non problem free coins then those prices are not that bad, honestly.

Be careful of cleaning on these coins. A light dipping is acceptable to some, but hairlined, rubbed coins are generally not looked on favorably by collectors.

Also, insist on a return policy that gives you the chance to return them for any reason.

Another suggestion would be to take some pics of the coins and post them here for opinions to be rendered.

    Take care...MIke

Seated Libs are being heavily counterfeited in Asia, although usually they are the cast variety which would not fool an experienced collector.

    Greysheet is 1860-O F = $190
    1860-O VF = $255
    1872 VG = $165

    Make sure they aren't counterfeits.

    Thanks "Charlie" and everyone!
Well, here is the story, I went to see the coins on Saturday.
He had sold the 60-O in Fine Condition, so I had the VG or VF to choose from.
The VG was not very nice, PERIOD!! I liked the VF very much except below the date it looked like someone had used a hand clap or something, because there where the cuts into the metal. Like this: llll in a row. I just said I'd have to pass, because I would consider that a Damaged coin. So, I didn't leave with a "Seated $1", but I did leave with a 1913-D T1 Buffalo in AU...
    Thanks again,
    SM
