Hey friends I have two separate questions here on this Jefferson Coin & Currency Set that was made and sold in 1993.

    1. First of all, do you know how much it sells for today on average and is it worth it. Does anyone own one?

    2. When looking for prices I always run into this site (worthpoint) and I want to know if anyone has ever applied for information from them and what it there story? Do you have to give them your Visa information b/c it says registration is to sign up for a free 7 day trial or something like that.

Link below, I saw this dealer last night at my coin club and he had one of these sets he was asking $75 for and I'm really just asking to see how popular they are as I was tempted to get it from him just to flip it but I really hate when I get an idea like that and I get stuck with something I really don't need.

I pick them up on ebay every once in awhile when I get luck on an auction. I don't usually pay more than about $35-40 for them, 50-60 is all the money all day.

$75 per set is top dollar right now, he's probably making a whole $15 on the set selling it to you, maxing out the selling price. Sure, you will find others selling for higher than $75, but they are sitting on inventory waiting for the order.

New World Rarities has it for $52 in coinage magazine and has for a couple months. I just picked one up at the flea market for $28. $75 seems high to me.

I'd shop around and look at as many sets as possible in order to get a good price and pick a nice set. As with most sets from the mint, by the time they've been in the secondary market for awhile and are still in there original mint packaging, they've been cherry picked for higher grades. I'd be willing to pay a little more for a nice set, but not a ridiculous premium.
