I ran across this one incidentally and went for it. It is a German shooting medal with a fabulous design in my opinion. I collect Swiss Shooting Medals and this is a bit outside my focus, yet a definite keeper! I am excited.

I like the 3d effect looking back at the mountains.

Never heard of a shooting medal in my life, but okay... :D
That is actually kind of neat, I'm not really diggin' the design, but the shape, most definitely.
What are shooting medals? Have something to do with guns?

    Very nice Zohar.
At first I thought the shooter had one of those prominent and risque cod pieces but then realised it must be his powder-horn! Anyone else noticed it or is it just me and warped imagination?

Since the 18th Century the Swiss have issued medals (and Talers) for their Shooting Festivals. You can do an Internet search. This is the only example in my collection. [IMG]

So it does have to do about guns...

I'll go off and do a search then, thanks ;)

I have a couple in my collection, but mine aren't anywhere near as nice as Zohar's.
