My son came over a little while ago with his buddy. His buddy is a novice coin collector. His buddy wanted 50 bucks for this coin. I was broke, so I ended up trading two slabbed MS-69 ASEs for it. Did I do good?

I barely would give that a G4 grade. In that condition its close to $50 or so. I wouldnt have made the trade myself.

Considering I paid 25 bucks a piece for the ASEs, I guess I broke even.

The reverse of the coin is just real bad. The obverse is very close to full rim.
The coin might grade AG-3, and the value is around what you paid.
But it is a CC Morgan dude! I would've made the trade!
    I think you did okay.

If the others cost you 25 then you did fine...
Do you have any CC's other then that one?

Are the scratches on the obverse on the disc or the coin? If they're on the coin, it might only get a details grade.

The scratches are on the holder. This is the only CC Morgan I have. I got a CC dime somewhere.

I don't know what I would have done lol... but still CC Morgans are a lot more interesting.

I think you did fine, not the steal of the century...but it's a nice coin. I think a TPG would call it G4 because the obverse is a G4 and it's a CC Morgan despite the reverse being a AG3. I would personally call it AG3.

Reverse is probably AG-3 but the obverse could grade as high as G-4. Nice look, attractive toning, even wear.

I think you did great. Then again, I have a thing for cc Morgans. I'd trade two ASEs for a cc Morgan any day.

The local coin shop I visit has several CC Morgan's and a couple of these 78's in a little better shape but around 75-100 dollars. I think it was a good deal just because a CC Morgan is just fun. After I finish my wheat penny collection I plan on working on a CC Morgan one.
