How do you like the redesigned obverse on the Parks Quarters?

    Without seeing the actual proof coin in-hand, I can't make up my mind if I like it or not. It seems to lose a lot of the detail. Is the reverse the same way? What will some of the reverse designs look like if the details are "softened" like that?

    I prefer the new look of the ATB obverse portrait. From the few examples I have, I do notice that the Hot Springs ones are somewhat weaker struck than the Yellowstone. It also looks like it would wear out quicker in circulation My biggest peeve with the 1998-2009 obverse portrait has been that high relief area on the base of the neck (directly above the designer's initials). I have yet to find one without that irritating abrasion that breaks the luster.
