welcome and to give you a value of your coin, we will need pictures. i can tell you though, the 1926 with no mint mark is not an error. its just a Philadelphia minted coin. back then Philadelphia did not put mint marks on coins. and still does not on cents. if there is an x carved on the front of your coin then its ruined. not that a 1955 is worth anything anyway unless its a ddo and we would need pictures to tell. the indian heads are probably worth a few dollars at most. those listed are all common dates, other then the '86. in xf condition it could go for around $90 retail. not sure if your second post, is coins you have or not? check the 1909 for the "vdb". it will be at the bottom on the reverse. if its an "s" mint mark then its worth some good money. if not its still worth more then a regular 1909. but again, we will need pictures to grade them.
I cannot post pictures sorry but the 1926 i mean the back. Is somewhat all gone i mean looks like it didn't get minted on the back at all.
The coinflation numbers are sort of right. Here are the pix of 2 pennies. The 1909 is worth more than the coinflation value 0f $90. If you pennies look like that, then you are in the territory of the upper numbers. If you pennies look like the 1922, then your pennies are probably worth less then the lower numbers. My guess is that yours look more like the 1922.
WOW thanks for the pictures now i can single them out im planning on keeping the doubles of ones i have and investing in some higher in coins. But can you explain the 1924, and 1909 for me
Welcome Chillipepaz... Coinflation numbers shouldn't be used as there is just too much of a range. Do yourself a favor and buy a Red Book (Guide Book of United States Coins). They run around $12 or so and provide a wealth of information that can be very useful to a collector just starting out. For example, in the book there is a rough guide on how to grade both Indian Cents and Lincoln Cents, mintage stats for every date and mintmark combination, and values (which will be much more accurate than Coinflation) for all dates and for various grades in each date. The book also has lots of history and photos of each series. Beyond that, NEVER NEVER NEVER clean your coins. Doing so will destroy most if not all value the coin may have. Also, always hold the coins by the edges (especially the nicer ones) to avoid fingerprints. Good luck!!!!!
Also today i had someone apraise all my coins and he offered like $400 and i have $390 in face value alone of my half dollars 1964-71.Also i just found a 1926 planchet anything?
The 1964 Half Dollars are 90% silver and are worth almost $7 or so each in silver value alone. The 1965-1970 Half Dollars are 40% silver and are worth almost $3 each in silver value. Don't sell them for anywhere near face value, otherwise you are getting ripped off.
Remember, the 1971 half dollars contain no silver so they are only worth 50 cents each. Also, you say it's a 1926 planchet?? People usually mean an unstruck coin when they refer to a planchet... in that case, if a planchet is just a blank coin how would you know it's a 1926??? You say that it's 1926 on the obverse but the back is worn smooth, the only explanation I can imagine is that it is either very worn or someone ground off the reverse to make it smooth. I don't think a genuine mint error would have a plain reverse and struck obverse. Maybe someone else here knows better though.
i means its the only one like it outa 3,000 penny's and its smooth completely no less or more then a normal penny in width
By the way i have a few 1909's stuck away somewhere if i come across and can put photo's up later ill let you know
