i didnt know where to post this, im epecting a package thats been shipped priority/registered. it was shipped on the 15th from fl to ca. and the tracking info says that its been accepted but thats it. does my regular mailman/carrier deliver it or does it come on a different truck? does it usually take this long, a regular priority package would've been here already.

It's not coin related so, General Discussion would have been better.

You could contact the USPS, speak with your postal carrier directly or if you have a tracking number, do this online.

There's not a lot of postal employees here who can help you. Here you will only get conjecture.

Another recourse is to PM Registered Mail "Retired Reg Mail Guru"

You may get your registered priority mail today, also if you're not home when it was attempted to deliver, they would leave a small receipt pick-up ticket in your mail box. Registerd priority is considered by some to be the best way to go for some ppl, but it does take longer especially if you're in a remote area. I am thinking you meant June 15th and if that's the case it hasn't really been that long, you will get it today or tomorrow. Oh and I think it comes on a different truck than your regular delivery post.

Registered mail can take up to 2 weeks. I wouldn't be concerned if I were you. It will come with your regular mail, but it must be signed for. If you aren't home to sign for it they will leave you a pink slip and you will have to go to the post office to pick it up. Registered mail takes a long time because it is accounted for at every stop, in addition to being put in a safe under lock and key.

Registered mail is slow but VERY safe. The post office knows this and I believe you can't even file a claim until 30 days, but believe me it WILL arrive eventually. And it will be delivered by your regular postman. (Oh, and if the item is worth over $600 or $700 Registered insured mail is also CHEAPER than Priority insured. And as the value rises the shipping saving increases rapidly. And if the item is over $5,000 it should definitely be sent Registered mail because $5,000 is the MAXIMUM the post office will pay out for insured mail, no matter how much you insure it for. For Registered they will pay out up to $25,000.)

Registered is very safe, and slower as stated. If you package would happen to get lost, someone will likely lose their job. Don't hesitate to use registered mail for expensive items.
