Can you read the portion of the legend on the left edge of the side in your picture? The word "consilio" appears in the legends of some 18th Century German States but no legends listed by Krause start with "consilium", which may be a second or later word that could be found easier with knowledge of the first word(s). Also, perhaps an equally high resolution picture of the other side would reveal more helpful information. Chances are the piece has little value with the jewelry modifications, but you never know.
