Why is the 1883 V Nickel with cents worth more than the one with no cents when there were 3 times as many of the with cents minted according to 2 web sites I have gone to. It shows roughly 16 million with cents minted and 5.5 million without cents. But the with cents seem to be worth considerably more!

Its due to the ones without cents being hoarded at the time and the ones with cents circulated.

Because the no cents was hoarded and a lot were saved in great condition.

In this case I suspect the two responses are correct.
    BUT
    Don't forget.
Most often it's NOT how many were struck but it's how many still exist.
I believe this particular case is an exception to that.
