I sketched the front of my 1921 P Morgan in hopes that someone could help me place it in its place in the VAM world . Any help would be appreciated. TY
Have you checked it here? http://www.vamworld.com/1921-P+VAMs This is why I don't collect 1921 Morgan VAM's. Chris
We would need pics of the reverse too. Assuming it's not the infrequently reeded or pitted reverse varieties, It helps to break it down first, do you know it's the 16 or 17 berry reverse? I respect anyone that does, there's gotta be at least 400 VAMs for the P alone.
OK..here are the front and reverse...hope this helps. Also from what I see there is a wide variety of doubled/tripled etc throughout the coin.
Looks like the D2 (16 Berry) reverse. That's probably the hardest 1921-P variety to attribute, there's close to 300 VAMs, 115 of which are the scribbling scratches varities, and they are very similar. I took a quick look, does the pic in this link match you coin: VAMworld - 1921-P VAM-3AC
Also I started to write the simular VAM's down and stopped because I thought I was seeing things then....lol
Unfortunately those are the only pics of VAMworld for that VAM. I don't have the VAM book with me, but I can check it later (I doubt it will have pics though).
