Does the fair market value that it shows for coins in this guide hold any water. Is at all close to what people are getting for coins?:rolling:
in my experience i have found that numismedia gives higher prices than dealers or even collectors would actually pay for that coin. Sometimes they get close but it all depends on what coin it is.
From what I've dealt with, it is pretty darn close. I always compare many things though when buying or selling a coin, eBay Completed Listings, Heritage Auction Archives, PCGS Price Guide, Numismedia Retail and Wholesale. There is nothing wrong with Numismedia as long as you it compare other price guides and recently sold pieces.
