I was surprised to find out that the 'damage' at the neck and behind the hair were actually diagnostic die markers for the S-133 obverse. I had studied the positions of the letters and found not only were the uprights of the I and B close to parallel as mentioned in Penney Whimsy, but also the uprights of the E and R on Obverse 11. The stemless wreath was pretty obvious.

But it was nice to see the additional confirmation and realize there was less post mint damage than I thought. R5s are not that easy to find, though you wouldn't know it by my collection.

Of course, the 1798s have my rarest piece or pieces since one is R5+ and one MAY be unique. Every time I've gone down the "unique" road before I've been disappointed so I leave myself room for mis-attribution.
