    I got this new coin, possibly a gold mohur from Mughal period of India. But I cannot identify it. Can anyone help me?

    Do you know the weight of the coin?

    Thank you for your reply. But I have a Krause catalog & I cannot match the coin with any picture of Mohur from Muhammad Shah period in that catalog.

    your coin mint is burhanpur. your coin is exact in this site

    the handwrithing is persian becouse in that era in the india the persian language was vogue.
