I really doubt it is because it doesn't match the traditional 8/7 FE description but it's worth a shot.

There's definitely something going on on the right side of the second "8". There's also a tiny bulge on the top right of the "8".

You can view the supersized images by clicking on the image itself. A box will pop up on your screen and on the bottom left corner is a button that is called "View Raw Image". Click that and it will bring up a huge image.

I know it's pretty hard to view the pictures because of the site but it's the only way I can do it. For some reason it won't upload onto the forums...it just says "File failed uploading" or something like that

I seen the pics, but I'm not a FE expert. It does look like the right half of the second 8 is thicker though

This is hard coin to see unless you see it in a ef grade been looking for one myself but must agree the thickness of the 8 makes me think a good maybe.

I think it is because your file extension (.php) is not supported. If you look at "Additional Options - Attach Files" below the message box when you start a new post, you will see the list of file extensions that are supported.

Thanks billyray and carl e collins for your opinions.

Chris, the problem is that my pictures are well over 500+ KB. Your forum only supports pictures up to 250 KB.

    Any more opinions?

Go to the folder you have the picture in, find the picture and right click it. Edit should be an option on the menu, click that. In the editor, click image and then resample or resize. A box should come up with options of pixels. Click pixels and put in 640 in the top size box. Click ok and it should resize. Then click file, save as and name it, click ok and you should have a picture you can put up here.

    Hi,

The thickness of the 8 doesn't really indicate anything. I don't see remnants of a 7 above and to the right of the 8, so this is not likely and overdate variety.

On one of the two die varieties, the wing tip on the eagle appears to be broken and there appears to be a separate little piece of wing between the F of OF and the A of AMERICA. Look for that.

On the other variety, the obverse is a doubled die and the doubling shows on UNITED STATES. Check for that.

I don't think that this coin is an overdate at all.

    Thanks,
    Bill

Thanks Bill. If it isn't an overdate, is it an error at all? Looking at the 4th picture in my album there's a definite branch off of the coin on the right side.
