I only collect Russian banknotes for the most part, so I have no experience with US currency. But today I found a 1934 $20 in circulation - and it's pretty crisp. Any value to it more than face?

Also, since I don't collect US currency, if anyone is interested in it feel free to send me a message with an offer.

I realize it might not be worth much over face, so I'm prepared to just spend it :kewl:

Absolutely :) This must have been either grandpa's safe deposit being spent or someone's banknote collection going towards milk and bread, it's in too good of a condition to have spent the last 76 years in circulation.

Nice find! I go to the bank and look for such things and just don't find them.

You might find some interested parties in the District Currency Collectors Group
thread and by listing the note in the Open section.

Book says maybe $10 over face in that condition.

I didn't sell it yet, I just got it a few hours ago at work... but yeah, it's in impressive shape, I was very surprised to see it.
