I want to buy this coin but im not sure what a good price to buy it at is. It is a very nice coin with one little spot by the right wing, looks like full luster. All help is appreciated.:smile Thank You
odd how the current bid is $51. could it be a fake? EDIT:never mind just checked cert number its real.
There is too much time left ( 4 days +) to consider this price indicative. My guess is above $600 at the end.
My local coin shop was selling one similar to this but in ms 65 for 2,100 retail. But keep in mind they want profit (retail). Edit: Year was 1857
Well consider the following: This is a flying eagle where 1 point of ms grade can mean hundreds of dollars. Plus like i said thats retail, which means they probably paid 1,500-1,800 for it, i mean he's a coin dealer....he needs to make a profit.
that is true, but heres a quote, "I think I have around 15 uncirculated Flying Eagles and all must go with NO RESERVE!!", from his auction page. so i think hes trying to get rid of it not for a profit. Just my guess thou
Ebay is more controlled on how bad the buyer wants it and is driven. Some ebay buyers dont care if they loose money paying too much because they want the coin and have been searching for years and years.
The Penny Lady (charmy) has some nice flying eales, i mean really nice. Check up on this coin with her.
