hi, i'm wondering if there are any errors for the 1963 cent and if there are any doubling errors in 1996. If there are, I'd appreciate any info or pictures. thanks
I use both of the sites religiously for errors and varieties. http://www.coppercoins.com/advsearch.php http://www.lincolncentresource.com/
This is the only 1996 oddity that I could find: http://cgi.ebay.ca/1996-One-Cent-Fu...em&pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item2c5509838a
the 1996 D cent I have seems to have very faint doubling in alot of certain spots including the 6, God, the bottom of licolns coat, and even different spots. I'm not sure if this is real authentic doubling or some other sort of worthless doubling, it is very faint, but I did notice something odd about the coin with no magnification.
On most of the newer cents you'll get that. Machine doubling, deteriorated dies etc. No premium on those. I keep a couple of examples just for reference. If you're interested in errors, check these sites out: http://minterrornews.com/priceguide.html http://koinpro.tripod.com/ErrorVarietyList.htm
so i'm guessing this is a great example of mechanical doubling, tell me if i'm wrong. Front IGWT http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u186/sandrock86/coins/pennyIGWT.jpg Front Date http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u186/sandrock86/coins/pennydate.jpg
