I was looking at some coins on ebay and came across this and it looks really strange. Its a 1909 S indian head penny with the mint mark up just under the shield on the reverse. I know sometimes they get misplaced, but that far? Geeze someone at the mint must have been paying to much attention to the coffee and doughnuts :computer: http://cgi.ebay.com/1909-s-ERROR-Ra...em&pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item35aa263b41
That looks like an example of pareidolia to me. Pareidolia - a phenomenon where a person sees a familiar image in randomness example - seeing an image of Jesus in a piece of burnt toast That 'S' looks more like a random bit of crud on a damaged coin than a misplaced mintmark.
Yea well its not quite as bad as labeling a 2007 penny as rare or key date  Or as bad as people listing 1892 O quarters under half dollar and being vague about the denomination LOL. I doubt that was an accident I saw a FR-AG 1882 o quarter listed as a half dollar bid up to $40. Someone is gonna get a negative (hopefully).
