Face error half dollar

    Yes it is a distortion of the picture!!!! This is a circulated coin that has damage from being in circulation. There are no little kings or V or other wise the owner of the coin has stated that these things you are imagining are not there. I am guessing there was something maybe a piece of metal or something was on the die that cause the mark Kennedy. Ice

    The reason I asked is because I wanted to rule out the possibility of PMD. If there had been damage (flattening) to the reverse in the same general area, the obverse impression would probably have been PMD.

    Interesting, but I haven't the slightest idea if it is a strikethrough, greas-filled die or what!
