Whats funny?? It was a Franklin half...and it went for about the right price....maybe I missed something Speedy
I did notice the inserted "1" to make the $5.00 price written on the 2x2 into $15.00-is that what you mean?
Check out his feedback... not a single one is from a BUYER. I know that a blank slate isn't necessarily a bad thing, you have to start somewhere after all, but his feedback is essentially a 0 as a seller (all his positive feedback has been as a buyer, not a seller). Still, the coin seems reasonable... I don't think that coin is worth the $15 written on the 2x2, but he's not selling it for that anyway. All of his other auctions seem reasonable coins at reasonable starting bids. None of them look fake or overgraded. I wouldn't buy an expensive or rare coin from this guy until he has a more stablished reputation, but I wouldn't have any problem buying any of the Franklins he has up for sale.
I still don't see how he was trying to rip someone off...nothing in his item said anything like RARE or the like....as for the $10 added to the flip...that isn't anything too big...that happenes everyday at dealers and on ebay--just bid what the item is worth...not what the guy says it is worth. Speedy
It looks like a Franklin Half to me, I don't care if he says it's worth $50, nobody will pay more than $4 for it unless they don't have a clue. I sold a whole roll a while back that didn't look as good as those and I labled the coins as "just plain ugly" and they still sold about 25% over spot. It doesn't matter what you say, it's just 90% silver when you take away the description.
