I took this out of the container for the picture. My note said I paid $7.00. Wunder if I kept up with inflation! Had to be about 40 years ago.
1938 D/D, is there any publication that keeps track of current value on those. I think I bouth mine around 7 years ago for something around $29.
Actually I dont think it did. Just using a standard of every 7 years you have a doubling that makes it almost a 6 multiplyer. And 7x2x2x2x2x2x2=$448 Nice coin. I have one myself but without getting to detailed on inflation I'd say it did not.
I agree. I doubt there are many that keep up. That is why we are called collectors and not investors.
Not sure, I just liked it. I was going to try and put together a nice set. I bought the 1938-D, 1938 D/S, 1938 D/D, 1937-D, 1937-S, 1937 and 1936 all PCGS MS66.
That is a great start. The 3 legged will cost a little more. I bought a 3 legged for a quarter in fine condition from a coin shop grab box. Everything in it was a dollar or less. I sold it back to the same coin shop a few months later for $47.50. Wish I had kept that one.
