1793 spanish coin?

    if anyone could provide some info i would be thankfull. i got a coin from my grand pa, it's dated 1793. the following info is on the obverse and reverse.....

    Carolus.IIII.dei.gratia 1793 / hispan.et.1nd.r.ng.m

    now i've tried to look up some info on this coin but all the coins on the back have "rex" where the "r" is on my coin and the numbers and letters haven't been worn off. if someone actually knows anyting i'll try and get some pictures. thanks for your time folks.

    It sounds like a 1/2 Real to me.

    I'm rather confident a more succinct answer for your enquiry will come up quickly :)

    In the meantime, can you post a photo of it?

    A half reale is correct, it would be from the Guatemala mint.
