So would you guys reccomend me getting these Slabs, for like 2 bucks a peace for my Morgan Dollar, and in your opinions, are these any better than the circular air-tite holders.
Your coin should be fine in the Coin World plastic slab type holders or in cardboard and mylar 2x2 holders or in plastic Whitman 2x2 holders or in airtite holders. All of these would work well and it would largely be up to how you want to store and view your coins.
I have many of my world coins in odd sizes in air-tites and it frustrates me to have them stacked where their stored only to slide into each other & have the air-tites get scratched. I dont want to mess with albums either. If you only plan on having this one coin, get a air-tite. But if you plan on getting other coins in low/cheap grades, I really like my coin world slabs. Easy to store & look nice.
Let me translate TomB's patented subtle-speech - nobody trusts ANACS anymore and only an idiot would send coins to them. And if you couldn't find an 8TF already slabbed, you obviously didn't look. At all. There are at least 50 currently on Ebay alone, all slabbed, in pick your slabber, pick your grade, pick your price.
A Good Choice You've probably made a wise decision. Those holders serve the purpose well, for a relatively inexpensive coin, as those of a first tier TPG. Your cost (if you decided to have an ANACS certification) would possibly be less than purchasing an already encapsulated coin, as I believe you'd see in the only competitive eBay current auction #290436321009. :thumb:
Buy them already slabbed. This one in an old ANACS MS63 cost me $125. I've also got several in NGC & PCGS slabs. Chris
