I've had this barber quarter on layaway at my shop for a couple of months. My budget isn't as big as I wish. So I picked it up today :hail: anyone care to guess what it is graded. BTW, it is in PCGS plastic.
Pics are a bit blurry so its hard to say. On the bust it looks like there are a few ticks and the fields show some lines but imo it looks like those maybe flow lines? Is it possible that this coin is a proof? MY guess MS65, if proof PF65/64. Edited to add after studying the pic im willing to bet she is a proof. Looking closer at the photo i can see some hairline action going on all over the fields. This coin i cant see being graded higher than a 63 more like 61/62. Either way even though the pics arent great it looks to be very nice eye appealing example!
It is almost impossible to grade a proof from a photograph because hairlines can easily be hidden. I see some but I bet there are more that I don't see. My guess is PR62.
It looks like a proof, but these are essentially impossible to grade from a set of images because you have no idea where and how many hairlines are on the coin.
I suprised myself - I looked at the first picture and said proof. Proud of myself. I can't tell what is on the coin and what is on the holder. I am going to guess PR64. It looks like a really nice coin.
How do you know? MS-65 is a hard grade to tell even in person , not to mention in a picture. Anyway, I would say MS-63. - 'crazed
I dont know I was just guessing..........by the way the cats out the bag and its not a buisness strike:goofer:
