I ran across this item recently while looking through a catalog of useless, overpriced junk.

Bankers Bag of 1943 Lincoln Steel Pennies

From the photo the "pennies" appear to be either plated or highly polished. The "drawstring money bag" makes them VERY tempting. Hurry because "this may be your last chance to own these rare coins."

Price? $29.95 + S/H. What a deal! Operators are standing by.

Wow! That is an awesome bag! It must be all of 2"x3" to hold 30 pennies, and it is even an "error bag" because it has a "$ sign" on the bag instead of a "cent" sign. I can understand why they call it a "banker's bag". Do you know of any banker who gives money away?

And, that's about 30 cents stacked on the table - no way the bag is a full as pictured.

Yes statequarterguy there are 30 cents (I just counted them). Maybe the bag has just been filled out with more common stuff, Morgan's, Standing Liberties...

I actually think that the bag is chock full of empty promises...

  14. In addition, they were not created in anticipation of a copper shortage...they were created due to an ONGOING copper shortage!

    BUT WAIT - THERE'S MORE!

There is another banker's bag available. Here's the description:

Imagine the fun of opening your own banker's bag filled with at least 30 old and fascinating coins! You'll uncover lots of Pure Copper Wheat Ear Pennies, World War II coins, and even a Silver Mercury Dime. You may even find a Buffalo Nickel or a Silver Jefferson Wartime Nickel, or both!
