dime with collar on top

    Sorry the photo is not the best, but you can see the ridged collar of top of about 1/3 of this coin. What is it worth, or any comments would be greatly appreciated.

    It's hard to tell, that could be post mint damage.

    It is worth at least 10 cents.

    I've never seen a dime like that. I'm not sure what its called. Someone will come along and let you know, but have patience...

    I thought it was a good find, however it is not looking so great. It is neat to me and I kinda like it. Maybe I get can get a few more opinions. It is helping me learn and that is what I want.

    While I can't recall the exact name of it, it's a striking error where the collar crept up onto the rim a bit leaving those reed marks. I'm thinking it's a type of partial collar error.

    While kind of neat, it has no real value above a few dollars.
