I know some of us are Pawn Star Fans. I just checked my Guide and it say they have a new show on tonight and are going to have a "a rare 1715 Escudo Spanish Gold Coin." I hope the guide is correct and I have not made a fool out of myself but it would not be the first time. Just though I would let the group know for what it is worth. Oh, History Channel. 9 PM Central. New show.
That wouldn't surprise me. Remember the lady with the 1932-S Washington quarter? The mm turned out to have been added on by soldering it?
I was in Las Vegas in January and made it a point to go by their pawn shop. It was much smaller (and more dingy) than it appears in the show. I looked over their numismatic material and found nothing special. And none of the "stars" were there. The pawn shop is located on Las Vegas Blvd between downtown and the Strip. A tattoo parlor is located across the parking lot. I went to the shop about 6 PM but since it was mid-January it was already dark.
Spoilers! Highlight below if you wanna see the result. Holy crap, haha, worth $18k, and sold for $11k!
because getting 11k is easy money. getting 18k is a hassle. that and the prices given on pawn stars are usually inflated anyways.
+1 also, there's a new "american pickers" on right before it, and of course they will rerun everything a couple hours later if you miss it.
I dont get it, when I saw this post I thought you were talking about a new episode. this episode and the pickers and everything else is a rerun at least a year old. even the commercials are reruns. A couple of the channels I see programming from 2008 DISH networks totally sucks, wish I could get my wife to agree.
