My eyes are getting worse. Guess that's why I see things that aren't there or don't see some things that are ? Anyway, I placed a roll of 1970 S cents on my scanner and got the pic thinking I could print it out or blow it up to be able to see the difference ?

I can't tell the Large Date from the Small one. Are there any small date ones here ?

    Thanks.

I did see 2 that are slightly offset that appear to be clones. How does that happen ?

The only one I suspect from your pictures would be the second from the left in the second row. I know it wouldn't be the 'D' mint right end of the first row.

Yeah, I just saw that a few minutes ago. I was kind of looking at the top row 2nd from the left. Tops are pretty even, 9 is pointed and the LIBERTY is kind of weak ? I think there is minor doubling on the date on that one. I downloaded a pic from the web and am trying to compare them. It is making me crazy ! I find one for sure, it is going into a comparison flip. Had to do that with Mercury Micro S and the 1928 Large & Small S.

Guess I better hurry and finish sorting this junk while I can ? LOL

    Thanks a lot.

I am still looking. Like the last coin in the third row as a possibility ? I think I should find 2-3 that are maybes and post those for opinions ?

I believe I read on coppercoin that all the large date show the crease line at the juncture of the 7 whereas the small date does not. The pics on the link above are that way too. Like I said, going crazy. LOL

Check the one on the far left up one row from the bottom. The tail of the 9 looks squared off ? And the second row down, second coin from the right, Is that an RPM ? Think I see a seconday S just inside of the top curve ?

You think your eyes are bad? I get headaches looking at cents. I can't see a darn thing on these dimes.

I am printing out the scan, cutting it in half with scissors. Then copy each half to fill a page and see if it breaks up. If not, then I am going to cut a small rectangular hole in a piece of paper and place it over each date. Hopefully, I will find at least one to use for a comp.

On payday next month, I may buy a lighted stand magnifier ? Or go to Dollars ? LOL
