Well I just got this one in today. Didn't pay a dime! Nor a nickel! Nor a penny! :smile $0 was my price for this beauty, my pictures don't do the coin justice, so I'm just gonna keep blamin' my camera Can't wait to get a better one! I won this in a contest, imagine that. Lehigh96 won a coin in the same contest too, it was a nice one, hopefully he posts pictures of that beauty soon. (If you guys want to know more about the contest we won these coins in, PM me) Anyway guys, here is the coin. A 1924 Peace Dollar, PCGS MS65 CAC. The last 1924 Peace Dollar I owned, was an ANACS MS61, I think that one might've even been my first graded coin. Looks like I've upgraded since then!
Awesome man, just awesome. I really dig the big silver coins, and the Peace is my favorite. It did cost you something though...passion and time, if I'm not mistaken...those are not really costly in my book. (time is, it's something you can never buy more of if you truely need it)
nice! next sunday i am going to be on the lookout for a graded peace dollar at my first coin show!(shows when i was 7 don't count).
Congratulations! Why can't you tell us about the contest, here? You didn't have to do anything immoral or illegal to win, did you? Chris
No, I guess I just don't want Doug coming along and busting me for advertising. Instead of making everybody see it, I'd rather have whoever is interested in where it is PM me. And yeah, I had to use a few full size body bags, a shovel, hammer, toaster, a pocket knife, some lip balm and a dress but I did it!
Thanks guys! I do like the look of the coin in hand, and it does have quite a bit of luster. All this coin is missing is a PLUS on the slab. Hopefully I can win another coin in the next contest. What do you guys think of my pictures? I'm trying really hard with my camera, and I really like the reverse, but the obverse is still bothering me.
You forgot about the jumper cables and orange marmalade..... and thats a really, REALLY, nice looking coin...congrats.
