Purchased this coin last week, and it came in the mail over the weekend. Thought I would share it with everyone (sorry to those on the WINS list, you gotta see it twice). The tone of the image is not terribly good. It's a fantastic looking piece in hand. I think the slab makes it a little too light, and the details tend to get lost. 1771 F 2 Reales from Mexico
Nice! It's in great condition and looking good! :thumb:You've got some GREAT Doubling in the first picture! B12
Woundefull coin!!, Alot of people dont realize is that this type of coinage circulated freely in the USA all the way up to the American Civil war!!It was hard to counterfit and they knew the silver was good.
I tend to agree. I generally don't like slabs, but I have to admit that these little ANACS mini-slabs are slick slick slick. Now it doesn't seem like there's a pound of plastic around a few grams of silver.
mini slabs? Being here in the Yewkay, I haven't come across any anacs `mini slabs', in fact this is the first of me hearing of them. Could someone possibly post an example alongside the normal anacs size please (?) cheers, Ian
well, for all I know they are regular size ANACS slabs, but they look to be about half the size of the NGC slabs I have. I just think they look better.
