    There is a show on tv called Most Evil. Its basically about a Dr. who is trying to find out if people are born evil. He has 22 different levels that he places on people that have done horrific crimes. So, what does this have to do with coins. If people can be born evil, can people be born naturally to be a "Coin Person"? In all your knowledge of coins, where would you place yourself on a scale of 1 to 70? Personally, I would have to place myself at about 10, because there is some much I don't know, and so much to learn...

    if coins had never been invented then nobody would know what they are. i belive its more of a growing on you thing influenced by someone or by finding a rare coin then investigating it there fore sparking an intrest. now greed on the other hand you could be born with which will probably lead one to coins.

    While you are correct that if coins were not invented then the need or desire to collect coins is not an inherent trait; however just because coins weren't invented doesn't preclude the desire to collect "something". Therefore it is just as plausible to be born with the desire to collect coins as it is to be born just plain evil in my opinion.

    I dont agree with one can be born with the desire to collect coins but more like someone can be born with the desire to collect and from there if coins happen to be what flares that collecting intrest then that person will collect coins. I've collected many things while growing up, from comic books to comic cards, action figures, to swords and knifes, Die cast models of 1969 Dodge Chargers, And even movies, and now silver bars and coins. Was I born with the desire to collect coins? No... Just with a desire to collect.

    off the subject of coins but how does one determine if someone is born evil only by crimes they commit after birth? I play violent video games but have never killed and have no desire to kill does it make me evil and if we are to determine if someone is evil at birth do we destroy that child before he can commit the evil act? "Congradulation Miss Jones, You just gave birth to a beautiful baby demon. He may grow up to be the AntiChrist."

    Anyway, BAck to the coins. to bad we didn;t have a devil smily.

    the reason in my op goes way back. at some stage in the dissent past when coins were in
    short supply and made of gold, silver, copper, and brass. the hoarding of coins was the start
    of what is now knowing as coin collecting . because they fell in love with them and did not want any one else to have them . simple
    then it was passed down through there dna and on to ours.
    just my op::rolleyes:

    Knowledge is from learning, not being born smart. That goes for anything in life.

    I saw a show on TV the other day where a guy had a heart transplant and he supposedly inherited some of the donor's traits. What if you got a heart from a coin expert?

    Most Evil is a very interesting show. I would place myself at about a 9. I say this because I am fairly young and still have much to learn.
