For the most part I agree. I did get a really well made spoof one time though. I forget for what company, but it did look just like their email, with graphics etc. I don't click on links in emails but I did scroll over the link, and sure enough the link said it was going to ebay.com or whatever, but the actual link was going to some foreign server that had nothing to do with ebay (or whichever company they spoofed, I forget). So I reported them, though I don't think they do anything about it. Best advice is to go to the site with your own link (or search for it on google) and look at your messages there, as mentioned.
If you say that again......... ...... PP will break both of your legs. ---- I quit them after they requested my online banking login name and password! Talk to your bank's security dept about PP and I promise you'll get an earful.
