this era if not silver is very dark.......I will admit he through us off with it being toned, im guessing thats why he kept it

I did guess the dark one because I've seen several clad halves that are toned dark, kept a few of them. I wasn't sure if it was some sort of AT or what just naturally happens to some clad examples.

I like this contest. I am inspired to hold a contest in my family. I will place three half dollars on a neutral surface reverse side up and ask them to guess the metal content. I will use one 90% one 40% and one clad. I've got some mint condition of each.
