Triskaidekaphobics beware!

I finally got my 1913-D and S. Both PCGS's. I kinda like the grain on the "D". These are 2 of the last 3 I bought.

And this happens to be the one between the first 2. (The white is on the holder, not the coin.)

 

I like them...what did they grade?

 

Those are some beauties you picked up. Hair?

 

Nice looking wheaties. I am also curious of the grade.

 

The 13- is 64 RB, the 13-D is 63BN and the 13-S is 63RB

 

The must have been something going on with the planchets at the Denver mint that year. Here are two others I have. I like the graining on the raw one the best, but it is only AU. The other is 63RB by ANACS.

I admire your coins. You really have a great set. Gives me something to look up too/for! for the 1913 P..is that a Maroon border w/ a burgandy around Lincolns body? It's different..in a good way

I agree, I had to log that word up in the dictionary to realize what it meant. I should have made an educated guess with the cents that he showed.

If you suffer from friggatriskaidekaphobia, stay home on the second Friday in August this year. More food for thought: Some say the "fear of Friday the 13th" comes from the October 13, 1307 roundup and execution of the Knights Templar by King Philip. Others say that is a 20th century concoction popularized by The Da Vinci Code. Who knew?

Thanks for all the comments, but I cannot believe all the people who have not heard of triskaidekaphobia. I hear it on the TV about twice a year.

 

Some people remember words, some don't. Just like there are 10 kinds of people, those who understand binary, those who don't.

 

To own the coins in the thread. Nice additions - and yes I heard the word, but could not remember where or what it meant.
