    Hi,

I found this coin and i don't know if it can be a mint error or it is damage... There is an extra letter or something like that on the coin.

Maybe someone know if it can be a mint error... :smile

    Thank you!

The squareness of it is post mint damage. looks like someone had it in a vice.

    Hi Billyray,

Yes... but how to explain the extra letter or something like that... see picture picture #3 and #4.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Nobody can explain this extra letter (or something like that) on this coin?

    Thank you.

Considering the damage to the coin, I don't think anyone will be able to give you a reasonable explanation for it. The only thing I can suggest is that you try to find an undamaged coin of the same year to see if the same mark is on it.

    Hi Chris,

There is not a lettre like this ( look like a O if you look at picture #3 and #4... ) on a normal coins. Normaly there is nothing. That's why i'm not sure it is a damage...

    Thanks.

I realize that, but the damage to the rest of the coin makes it worth no more than face value, and that is why I suggest that you search for another.

    Hi,

I will never find another coin with this extra letter... :smile

This is an enigmatic coin for me... if you look at the left pictures you will see something like a big dot and at the right picture, something like doubling on dots. I cannot explain the mark on the Queen head too.

    Many Thanks!
