Every WW 2 vet should get a monthly federal check for $5,000.

As a serving member of the Armed Service it is my privilege and honor in doing my part to help others make this world a better and safer place to live.

It is with my greatest of respect that we have a moment for the fallen members who have given their lives to help us in protecting our freedom. :)

Vietnam; '67,'68 & '69. Thanks to all vets, past & present. It was an honor to serve. I believe it's even harder for those serving now, than it was then.

I see you're from New Mexico. Everytime I am getting on the freeway in Santa Fe, next to that cemetery, and see the thousands of rows of white crosses for those brave men that died in WW2. I think of the ultimate sacrifice made by these young men for our freedom.

My guess with the small population of New Mexico, is that they had the highest rate of death per capita, of any state.

New Mexico had a high number of Navajo who joined the USMC as "Windtalkers", Navajo Code Talkers. A vital part of our military success in defeating the Japanese in the Pacific theater during the second WW.

On the Freedom-Bird, departing Nam, I felt a little guilty ..... my sacrifice was small ..... I only lost a little time ..... while those named on the wall, lost their all.

Never forget, always respect, continue to be thankful.

Thanks guys, we appreciate it more than you know. Sometimes it is almost embarrassing. Thanks to the ones that came before me, allowing me the opportunity to continue to protect our great nation.

I always make a contribution to the WW2 vets outside of supermarkets with their collection cans. I always say to them "you guys are heroes, thank you". The one old vet on Friday simply said, "someone had to do it, it was our time".
