Your on! My favourite DC lunch venue was the "Dubliner" but never venture in there evening time. Will keep my head down for a bit and see how the forum operates. Cheers Myles
Honestly, my favorite place was the Little Tavern on M Street - bite-sized hamburgers with grilled onions and horseradish mustard - 12 for $3.60 - Open 24/7 (1983). Chris
Now thats something which would go down a treat here - when we go into Derry the menu's are limited. If you ever come across a recipe for them I might even write a how-to blog!! Talk soon Myles Ooops! there we go off-thread again!
Works for me But just in case you haven't, please read our forum rules. That is of course what prompted my question, as your comment could have been misconstrued. Reading the rules will explain why. I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt - and ask, just in case. You merely took what he said the wrong way gerry. Typical forum etiquette (not just this one but any forum) is to start a new thread if the topic you wish to discuss is different than the content of the present thread. Now that is not a rule by any means - call it a custom if you will. And by the way gerry, if you stick around just a bit, you'll find out that what I said above you taking it the wrong way, is correct. Member tmoney is actually a nice young man, and I'm sure you'll agree once you get to know him. You see, if an old grouch like me can tolerate and even like the kid (I'll deny that in public tmoney ) - then anybody can
Go get a pint of the black and remove the bad taste. This is a good forum, with many members with great knowledge of coins.
Well Doug, this is public enough for me... And really Gerry, I'm not all that bad. All I was trying to say was that rather than post on a thread that didn't necessarily concern your coin, why not start your own thread, in the proper section, so it would get the attention that you needed. When you really think about it, a thread that concerns advice for a stamp/morgan dollar set and then somebody comes along and posts a coin with an unclear message and then says a kid may like. People reading the thread will be confused and totally lost. That is all I was saying.
So it all boils down to succintly reading the rules - well young man my rules refer to etiquette. My name is not Gerry and when people talk to me in terms of "hijacking threads" and "showing off!" I am somewhat disappointed to say the least. When you reach my age 75 maybe you will appreciate what the word courtesy means. Thank you.
Even though I am not an admin for this forum, this kind of behaviour is not wanted here and doesn't belong here either. Why don't all of you take it elsewhere! Children!
