United States Millard Fillmore Dollar 2010-D I bought four of these, mints P and D, both rim legends for each mint.
Nice, I actually really like these dollars. I just wish the date and mintmarks werent on the rim. But I like being able to stick 8 new coins in my album each year
:rolling: My brother forwarded me a page of what ever you want to call-it. It was kind of religous and political. These people were protesting because " In God We Trust" wasn't on the dollar coins. They were trying to say our new administration was evil. I explained to my brother that they were wrong and forwarded him some info from smalldollars.com.. Has anyone else seen this garbage?
Congrats on your new Prez Dollar. I too really like the idea/design (though I wish the mint would have stayed consistent with the designs). I'll have to admire yours for now since I don't have one.
just picked mine up from the bank. I too really like this series, mostly because they just don't circulate. One will go into the album, the other 24 will be spent around my town to get them the public aware of them.
Yes, I've seen that garbage. This "confusion" is one of the reasons they moved "In God We Trust" to the obverse. Of course this probably won't end their "confusion" as some are easily confused. Why else would they vote the way they do?
Congrats. I wasn't really into the Pres dollar series when they first came out but they grew on me. The place my Dad works uses them in their vending machines so I'd always see them setting around whenever I was at my parents. About two monthes ago I gave in and told him to save me some. Only one P so far but I've already got all the D's and they get them really fast too. He got me a Pierce like the day after it was released. They're just so darn golden and shiny I can't resist them.
A friend of mine served as a Judge of Elections overseeing a polling place for years. He felt that for every stupid reason that caused a person to vote one way was evened out by an equally if not more stupid reason by another. Not saying that this produced a logicial result but maybe it just evened out the fringes a bit.
Actually, I do not usually collect US coins, but my father was a fan of Pres. Fillmore, and campaigned to get January 7 declared "Millard Fillmore Day".
To protect stupid from himself, you need to think like a stupid person and some of us find this extremely difficult to do. I'm a little surprised that this garbage email resurfaced after so many years since I first saw it between Mar and June of 2007.
