  3. Very cool! I have not found any yet but the 2009 cents (P mint) are very common here...usually two-three per roll.

I really like the new design and I can't wait to get a copy for my collection.

Normally I buy 1 proof and 1 mint set each year. I think this year I'll pick up 2 proof and mint sets, and crack out the Lincoln pennies from 1 of each, for 2x2s flips.

Found one in change a couple of days ago. A lady at work had one and was looking for another one so she could give each of her grand kids one. I let her have the coin I had. It was nice to find and even nicer to share.

They seem to be moving into South Georgia nicely. I have gotten several in the past month thru change at the convinience stores.

Dwhiz, I'm surprised you haven't gotten them sooner over in PA. I'm in Ohio and they seem very abundant. I really like the shield design

I didn't like the design at first, but when I got one in hand for the first time last week I was impressed.

I went to the bank last week to buy two boxes of cents to roll search. I wasn't paying much attention---I just grabbed the boxes and put them in my car.

When I got home, I looked through the peepholes in the boxes---BOTH boxes were 2010 shield cents....!

I didn't even open the boxes, so I don't know where there were minted (P or D's)......

How do you get the cent boxes at the bank? Is it a bank where you know the tellers or just random. I have tried w/no luck. I kinda understand it, they aren't making anything so they probably don't want to mess with it.

I finally found one the other day, I got it in change when I paid for my coke.
I also got a 2010 quarter in a vending machine at the hospital the other day.
Really not all that impressed by the designs, all though the shield cent looks so much better in hand than it did as a drawing.

    Hi Lack,

I live in a very friendly S. Louisiana city. It is a relatively small city (about 120,000 pop.) and even banks that I have no accounts with have sold me boxes. If you have an account at a bank, though, they should be willing to order boxes for you (especially if you have a business account). I guarantee you they have some on hand and shouldn't even have to order them. But even with just a consumer checking account, they should do it for you. Ask for the manager. He will probably ask you what you need so many pennies for---just tell him you're having some sort of kids function with a penny competition or some such fib. Should work---
