Since starting lincoln cents searching 4 months ago I was impressed with RLM's woody collection and started saving some of my own. I have also saved cents that have a marble like appearance. I find it nearly impossible to capture the "marble effect" with a camera or scanner but they are beautiful in hand.
Nice! I've saved all the woody's as well. That's what I like about collecting wheats and memorials. There are so many dimensions possible. You can collect dates, or errors, or varieties, or mint marks or in this case woody's.
They are nice coins..Wait until you want to replace them with higher grades (if you choose too), then you will really be addicted. I know I am lol. Shrek
Thank you for the mention. I am humbled by you honorarium. You have some interesting coins there. Some of those later dates are hard to come by.
O yea, I've started a set of wheaties with golden streaks. Some get pretty wild looking. If your putting together a set and can't locate certain dates, let me know I may have one...
I got a couple of partially complete 1909-1940 Lincoln Wheat sets in the mail today and got a couple more Woodies out of them:
