Better pictures?to me that just looks like it was caused by a really bad focused picture to appear like doubling and nothing to do with the coin.VV only lists one DDO for the 1969 D and not worth certification otherwise. http://varietyvista.com/01b LC Doubled Dies Vol 2/1969DDDO001.htm
How would anyone know this? You didn't post a picture of the obverse, or reverse. You only zoomed in on the date, which looks blurred.
@Jonnapal As you have been a member here for about 4 1/2 years and presumably navigate around the site, posting your images in full size as opposed to thumbnail galleries is preferred. Also, I would have thought that you would be aware of the following. Mint marks were handpunched into the die then and your image of date and MM show the same anomaly, which can be taken as machine doubling/tripling, also known as No added value
@Jonnapal Hi. First of all the correct terminology would be Tripled Die. Unfortunately yours is not a Tripled Die Variety. It's explained on the other posts from the other members. Also. If you think you have a mint error or variety you would send it for Attribution (which is an extra fee) not just grading as your poll states. Without paying that fee they will not give you the attribution.
You guys are helping me to a slow death. If it’s the spelling, I corrected it. I don’t see it on the coin and I didn’t catch it in my post. If I missed anything else, chalk it up to growing old and being concerned about personal events that happened today. Thanks guys.
Looks like nice coins but terrible pictures I sure hope I spelled that stuff right without my glasses on
