Whats up with the 2004 coin sets? I see no reason for the prices being commanded by these sets (2004 mint set, Peace nickel roll sets, westward nickel 6 coin set, etc).
I just sold 1 2004 mint set for $61 and some change and 1 6 coin nickel set for $46 and some change. Beats me they are just common modern coins or am I missing something.
I have 1 of each set left and am trying to decide to sell and buy back when and if prices drop of hold on to what I have?
I primarily collect full step jefferson nickels which the series technically ended with the 2003 since that design is finally gone!

    You didn't miss anything.
They are common....the problem I see with this is HYPE.
Some don't agree with me but all I see is 4 letters H-Y-P-E
The nickels aren't rare nor ever will be....
I sold many of mine...I used to collect this kind of coins but now I only collect older coins... (1964 and before...and some of the newer Silver coins)....I made money on the ones I sold but I kept back on roll of the coins so I have some nice BU ones for sets someday.
