I purchased a 1894 $10.00 U.S. gold coin up here in Canada.Anyone know if these were ever counterfeited?Do I have to buy with caution when purchasing old U.S. gold coin?If yes what years do I watch for? I am new to buying coins.Thanks.
To further expound- when starting out buy PCGS, NGC or maybe ANACS in AU-58 grade. You will learn to see wear, learn why it is considered circulated. And you won't be paying the big bucks.

Heard my first Rush 8track in about 1974 when they had John Rutsy on drums.Actually went to a concert when they were promoting the 2112 album in Pt.Huron,MI.Wish I still had the T-shirt.I hope this message doesn't appear on coin talk.Who would ever think someone that collects coins would be a RUSH fan.
