I found this in my tip money tonight. Hubby handed it back to me to hang onto, in case it's worth anything. The back seems normal, but the front, there is basically no top border. What do you all think?
About the only "conversation" we can have about this note is to tell you it's not worth keeping due to the badly centered printing / sloppy cutting of the margins. In addition, the note is heavily circulated, badly stained on the reverse and would not have a value to a paper money collector greater than face in this condition. There were over a billion of these Series 1999 Philly notes printed and a Gem Unc note might fetch two times face, currently. With that many notes out there there are likely errors amongst this Series. Spend this one and keep looking for others: misalignment errors, over inking, smeared ink, offset transfers, inverted SNs, mismatched SNs, inverted plates, gutter creases, etc. are out there, but not so easily found. Thanks for sharing the note and inquiry. :smile
I agree with krispy on this one. Interesting note for sure, but not worth anything other than face value due to its condition. Keep looking though!
